Season 2026: Senior Coach & Football Operations Director Appointments

The Committee is pleased to announce two key appointments for Season 2026.

Sean Lester - 2026 Senior Coach

Sean Lester has been appointed as our 2026 Senior Coach. Sean is a graduate of Melbourne High School (exit 2009) and rejoined MHSOBFC in 2021 following a very successful playing stint at Mulgrave Football Club. Sean’s natural leadership style led to his appointment as Senior Captain for the 2022, 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Sean will take on the role as a playing coach for the 2026 Season and is already making contact with many players across the playing group to discuss the plans for 2026.

Andrew Saultry - Football Director & Senior Assistant Coach

Andrew Saultry has been appointed as Football Director & Senior Assistant Coach for the 2026 Season. We are delighted to welcome Andrew back to the club. Andrew played 200+ Games, served on the Committee from 2003-2009, and coached our Reserves from 2010-2011. Andrew was awarded Life Membership of MHSOBFC in 2011.

In this role, Andrew will lead Coaching development strategies, whilst supporting Sean in developing and implementing the game plan across the club. Andrew will be a valuable support for Sean at training & match days.
